Hand In Hand? Straight Teeth in Las Vegas

A lot of teenagers, and that includes their moms and dads when they were younger, find metal braces not just annoying, but uncomfortable. But they were always a necessary evil, because the benefits of straight teeth and a good bite outweigh the aggravation.

Now the aggravation factor is down – way down. Invisalign clear braces are far more comfortable than metal braces. Even better, they come out at mealtime and when you brush your teeth, and because they’re clear, they are nearly undetectable.

Invisalign clear braces, which are called aligners, look like an athlete’s mouth guard. They put gentle pressure on the teeth to gradually bring them into proper alignment. Every couple of weeks, they’re swapped out for a new aligner that continues the straightening process.

Aligners need to be worn at least twenty-two hours a day. That means they’re worn overnight. Yes, they come out at mealtime and when you brush your teeth, but they go right back in afterward. (Note to parents: we can tell if your teen hasn’t been wearing them the minimum amount of time.)
