New Teeth: Dental Health for Kids in Las Vegas
Dental health is important at every age, but one of the critical periods is when kids are between six and eight years old. As the team at Just For Kids Dentistry in Las Vegas can tell you, that’s when growing children are experiencing big changes in their mouths.
It’s during this period that kids go from having all baby teeth, to a mix of baby and adult teeth. The adult teeth, of course, are also known as permanent teeth. And permanent is a word that dentists take seriously.
On average, kids begin to lose their four upper and four lower incisors between six and eight, replacing them with adult teeth. Their six-year-old molars start coming in, too: two in the upper jaw, and two in the lower.
This is a crucial period of development. Your youngster should already be seeing us at Just For Kids Dentistry, but it’s at this stage that we want to see them every six months for a cleaning and checkup. We’ll watch for cavities, of course. But we’re also checking to see their teeth are properly aligned.
At Just For Kids Dentistry in Las Vegas, the pediatric dentistry is all about prevention. We want to be sure your kids are free of tooth decay. Our early dental care includes checkups and cleanings, as well as Invisalign clear braces and traditional metal braces. Make an appointment with us today.
